Here are the Rules for the ONE LUNGER 100Check to make sure that your sled meets these requirements. The One Lunger 100 uses the same set of rules as our regular class rules. For the class you may want to enter please see the rules for:1973 & older HR super stock 1973 & older HD Super Stock 1973 & older Relic Factory Stock Also for all of our race days please see: General Rules of Racing As always the One Lunger 100 race is run with a "pit lane" where the racers pull up to the beginning of the pit lane and are required to run alongside of their machines in the pit lane until they reach their pit crew. Each team will have to shut off their motor before refueling or spark plug changes. Once the machine is started again, the tether will have to be hooked to the driver and he or she will have to run to the end of the pit where there will be a mandatory "tether quick check" where the tether will have to be pulled or just simply pulled to the side until the motor starts to die to ensure it is working. Any sled that does not have a working tether will not be allowed back on the track until it is fixed. Some notes or comments that have come up in the past about the rules: * Rola will be penalizing racers for going outside the cones or latice strips. Racers may receive a 1 lap penalty for doing so and racers will be notified after the race is over. * Tethers mounted onto plastic dashes or hoods are a bad place to mount onto due to the fact the dash or hood can and do fall off leaving the sled with a possible Disqualification. * Racing Numbers on the side of sleds is important, Some sleds have them painted into a neat color scheme that totally camouflages the numbers into the background. There are also snowmobiles with duct tape numbers or black tape numbers on the side of their machines. These are all BAD!!!! Black letters over a white square are simply the best way to display your number. * The Relic class is going to be alot of fun and a few questions have come up about the rules. "Can I run a 380 JLO motor in a Panther chassis?" Yes you can, that model was made in 1969 and it used the non helix type secondary. "The brakes on a 1969 panther are terrible at best" Safety first...Rola will allow a caliper type of brake be used instead of the sideways pushing type brake. The brake will have to be cable type still. "Can I run a pararail in My scorpion for the Relic class?" No...Pararail was never under a single cylinder model. Registration for the 13th Annual One Lunger 100 is open. Download the registration form and enter now. |
